Salary Range: $80,000-$100,000
Our client is a leading global provider of advanced engineered solutions for aerospace and industrial markets. They are seeking a Cost Accountant to join their finance team in Rancho Cucamonga. This role will play a key part in supporting manufacturing operations through detailed cost analysis, financial reporting, and process improvement initiatives.
The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in cost accounting within a manufacturing environment and enjoy partnering cross functionally to drive accurate financial insight and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities for Cost Accountant- Perform cost accounting activities including standard cost development, variance analysis, and cost roll ups
- Analyze manufacturing costs related to labor, materials, overhead, and inventory
- Partner with operations and engineering to support costing accuracy and efficiency improvements
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial reports
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and annual standard cost updates
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting policies, and SOX requirements
- Assist with month end close activities and audit support as needed
- Identify opportunities to improve cost visibility, reporting accuracy, and financial processes
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- 2+ years of experience in cost accounting or manufacturing finance
- Working knowledge of standard costing, variance analysis, and inventory accounting
- Experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment preferred
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
- Proficiency in Excel; experience with ERP systems strongly preferred
- Ability to work onsite and collaborate cross functionally
