Electrical Engineer

Payrate: $54.00 - $56.73/hr. Summary: Grid Test Bay Application Engineer is responsible for programming, testing and commissioning of protection and control Panels for Generator Protection, Generator Excitation, Transformer Protection, Feeder Protection, Bus Protection and Line Protection System. Responsibilities: Analyzing customer applications/specifications and understanding the design of protection and control panel, single line diagram, schematic diagram, logic diagram, control diagram and Bill of Materials, engineering instruction, wiring drawing, wire list, wire tags to fulfill user specifications and requirements. Prepare test plans customized to ensure that multi function protection relays behave the way they are supposed to do in order to protect the power system installed at. Create relays setting files based on logic diagrams and setting included in coordination and protection study reports. Upload setting files and set up communication including IEC 61850. Execute test plans using secondary injection tests and simulate complex control schemes such as Transfer schemes, Synchronizing schemes and Auto-restoration schemes based on logic diagrams Take full responsibility to assigned projects with minor support from Senior Lead Application Engineer Testing of customized Protection and Control solutions both in house and at customer installations Provide field support up to and including commissioning of new applications. Provide training/peer check/design support to other members of the team. Pay Transparency: The typical base pay for this role across the U.S. is: $54.00 - $56.73/hr. Non-exempt positions are eligible for overtime at a rate of 1.5 times the base hourly rate for all hours worked in excess of 40 in a work week, or as required by state or local law. Final offer amounts, within the base pay set forth above, are determined by factors including your relevant skills, education and experience.
