Junior Accountant

Location: Tarrytown, NY (100% Onsite)
Compensation: $50,000 - $55,000

Our client is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Accountant to join their growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent accounting graduate or early-career accounting professional looking to build a strong foundation in a collaborative and fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate will bring a solid understanding of accounting fundamentals, a willingness to learn, and a proactive approach to supporting day-to-day accounting operations. This role offers hands-on exposure to core accounting functions and the opportunity to work closely with experienced finance professionals.

• Assist with daily accounting operations, including journal entries and general ledger maintenance.
• Support month-end and year-end close processes.
• Prepare account reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.
• Assist with financial reporting and analysis.
• Maintain accurate accounting records and supporting documentation.
• Support accounts payable and accounts receivable activities as needed.
• Ensure accuracy and compliance with company policies and accounting standards.
• Collaborate with team members on special projects and process improvements.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting required.
• 1 year of accounting experience, including internships or relevant professional experience.
• Strong understanding of general accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Experience preparing reconciliations and supporting month-end close activities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Self-starter with a positive attitude and willingness to learn.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
